Applesauce

8 medium cooking apples
½ cup water
1 cup sugar
Cinnamon to taste

Peel, core and quarter the apples and place in a 2-quart dish along with the water. Cover and microwave on high for 10-12 minutes until apples are tender. Stir in sugar and cinnamon, and then let stand for 2-3 minutes to dissolve the sugar. Stir before serving; serve warm or cold.
