To make a pitcher, dissolve two tablespoons each of rose water and honey in two quarts of water.

A mix of vinegar and sometimes honey in water dates back at least as far as classical Rome. To make a pitcher with 8 servings, dissolve 2 tablespoons wine vinegar and ¼ cup of honey in 2 quarts water. Dilute further if needed.
