Nut Bread

2 cups brown sugar

2 tablespoons shortening, melted

2 eggs

2 cups buttermilk

4 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup chopped walnuts

Combine dry ingredients.  Add beaten eggs, milk and shortening.  Last, add nuts. Pour into loaf pan and bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until done.
