Cinnamon Swirl Bread

1/2 c. shortening

1 c. sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

1 c. sour cream

1/4 c. milk

2 c. flour, sifted

1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 c. sugar

2 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350°. Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Blend in the sour cream and milk. Whisk the flour together with the powder, soda and salt. Add to the creamed sugar mixture and blend well. Pour half of the batter in a loaf pan. Blend the cinnamon and sugar to taste and sprinkle half over the batter. Top with the rest of the batter. Cut the batter with a knife to create swirls. Sprinkle the other half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top. Bake 45-50 minutes.
