Bayou Banana Bread

1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground allspice
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 c. mashed bananas

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add combined dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with bananas, mixing well after each addition.  Pour into greased and floured 9″x5″ loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
